Have you heard EVs lose range in the winter, so you should stick to petrol? It’s a common misconception that petrol cars perform perfectly in the winter, but i’ts not so black and white. Sure, EVs may experience some decrease in range during colder temperatures, but did you know a petrol car can lose as much as 15% of it’s range in cold temperatures due to fuels not vaporising as well as normal. Additionally more power is needed in the drive train as there’s more friction from cold lubricants.
